Nick’s Picks
Recommended best-in-class physical therapy and fitness products.
OPTP Original Norsk Mobilization Wedge
This is a must have for any manual therapists. I’ve found this to be the best wedge for thoracic mobilizations.
AmazonBasics High-Density Foam Roller
This foam roller has the best value I’ve seen. It is super durable and has the firmness needed for patients to self-mobilize the thoracic spine.
AmazonBasics Cast Iron Kettle Bell
You cannot beat the price of these kettlebells. They are not pretty, but they get the job done.
Trideer Exercise Ball
Trideer has incredible durability for the price.
Schwinn Airdyne Bike
When it comes to calories burned in a given unit of time, you cannot beat these bikes. I have all of my athletes warm-up on our Airdynes prior to each session.
Garage Fit Sandbag
Sandbags are a must-have when working with tactical athletes. I’ve found this brand to be an excellent value. Remember, the sand is NOT included! You can pick up some play sand for dirt cheap.
Bowflex SelectTech Adjustable Dumbbells
These things are pricey, but I’m convinced these are the best adjustable weights on the market. They are adjustable from 5 lbs to 52.5 lbs.
Nexstand Computer Stand
Cheapest way to instantly improve your posture when using your laptop. Can be collapsed for super easy travel. I’ve had mine for two years, using it 8-hours per day, and it’s in perfect condition.
Theragun Mini
For a fraction of the price of the Theragun PRO, this baby still packs plenty of punch.
TETON Sports Oasis 1200 Hydration Pack
I did a 54-mile ultramarathon with this bag. I carried a sleeping bag, bivy sack, medical supplies, food, water, etc. without any issues. I also had no chafing on my spine. This is an awesome bag!
Neck Hammock
Incredibly simple and effective way to provide neck traction; however, this product is slightly more pricey than the pump-up neck-traction products.
Flaxseed
This superfood has been proven to help maintain a healthy blood pressure and is loaded with cancer-fighting lignans. I eat a tablespoon of flaxseed via a smoothie, on cereal, etc. every day (as should you!).
MiR Weighted Vest
I personally use a MiR weighted vest for my ruck and Spartan training. These things are incredibly durable and come in multiple different weights (20-60 lbs).
Cervical Traction Collar
If your patients benefit from manual cervical traction, then this device is fantastic for your patients to perform self-traction.
