Dr. Nick Schumacher is a physical therapist and fitness coach. Nick graduated from Boston University as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2016. In 2017, Nick completed the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston, where he received further training in the management of musculoskeletal injuries. He achieved Board Certification as a Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS) in 2018. Nick has a particular interest working with tactical athletes (military, fire, and police), runners, weight lifters, and any other active individuals. He has worked with elite military personnel (Special Forces, SEALS, Rangers, and EOD) and professional athletes, and has travelled the country giving numerous injury-prevention workshops to fire stations and various military groups.

As a former D1 collegiate runner, Nick has suffered many injuries, which allow him to better relate with his active patients/clients.

Nick continues to be an avid runner, weight lifter, and elite obstacle-course racer. He practices what he preaches in every aspect of his life.

While deployed I suffered a back injury from a vehicle accident. I had been accepted to flight school but now I worried I would be disqualified and medically retired. Other PTs were unable to help but Dr. Nick was able to get me back on track.

When I first saw him I was unable to walk and unable to bend over. By the time I was discharged I was back to running, deadlifting, and squatting. I’m back on track to achieve my life goals.

Dr. Nick Schumacher is a superstar. I couldn’t recommend him enough.

Nick was always professional, personable, and energetic. Best physical therapy experience ever. He not only gets you healed but focuses on strength training as well.

I was referred here for my knee pain. Before I arrived, I was unable to do many common movements such as fully squat or climb ladders. After leaving, my performance had improved to a much higher level, and I can now do everything with ease.

Nick is just awesome! He does have a flaw: man is a vegan… who doesn’t like bacon? That raises some concerns. Ok, all jokes aside, this man is funny, encouraging, professional, smart, and friendly. He has attacked my multiple ailments in different ways and motivates me to get better. I have used other physical therapy places before, but this is by far the best one yet! From 1-10, I give him a 24!!

Nick is absolutely amazing. He’s more like a friend that you work out with rather than being in physical therapy. I highly recommend him!
